A growing number of Americans believe in global warming, according to a Pew Research Center national study.

The thinking also transcends party lines. According to a Pew Center  press release, the study conducted between Oct. 4-7 among 1,511 adults found "increasing numbers of Democrats, Republicans and Independents saying there is solid evidence of warming, although there continues to be a substantial partisan divide on this issue."
