A party for the Virgin Mary

Katherine Valentine, author of "The Gift"  recently spoke at the Magnificat Breakfast in Bristol about her journey with God and her relationship with the Blessed Mother. The Archdiocese of Hartford held the event, which is inspired by the Magnificat , a hynm of praise Mary sung while visiting her cousin Elizabeth. The hynm is found in the Gospel of Luke.

Be kind to Mother Earth

The Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford  and the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network held its first annual Riverfront Earth Day celebration in Hartford on Sunday. The event began with an Interfaith Prayer Service at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church and a march through downtown Hartford to the Riverfront.
